Whats going on everyone.. I've had a couple of you busting my balls that I'm not updating my blog enough so like I said last time, I'm gonna do my best to keep them coming.........


Saturday night I ended up having a real good time courtesy of Hardcore Sports Radio,  even though Chuck Liddell got his ass knocked out.  For those who don't know my brother Rob works for Hardcore Sports Radio which is on Sirius satellite radio,  he gave me and Two a call Saturday morning inviting us to party his station was holding for UFC 71.. Chuck Liddell vs. Quinton Jackson.  I'm a huge Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fan especially with the UFC.  The last couple years I've really gotten into and watch it religiously. So anyway me and Two head to this party downtown in the Amp'd Mobile building, had some drinks and Rob introduced us to some of the people from the station.  Rob's co-host Mike Gentile was there and he's a real solid guy, the guy manages to make me fucking laugh every time I see him.  Then we got introduced to a guy named Richard Garner who apparently was the big wig at the station.  This guy had a real Dana White/Vince Mcmahon aura that surrounded him, no bullshit, straight to the point... a no fucking around attitude kind of guy.  Right off the bat me and Two got chatting with him, actually its a pretty funny story because he did something I've never seen in all the years I've been around gambling and poker rooms.  We were chatting about how much we bet on the fight and he was blown away, we bet on Liddell and he ended up betting on Rampage Jackson... he was so astonished on how much we smashed it for he actually started cheering for us!...lol  No joke, even though he bet on Rampage he kept telling us he really hopes Liddell wins so we win our bet!  I thought that was just hilarious and awesome at the same time, I need to find more guys like him at the poker tables..

So getting back to the night we all grabbed our beers tight as we started to watch the first round of the fight. In all honestly I was so confindent Liddell was going to win the fight it was ridiculous, really... I thought Jackson literally had no chance  of winning unless he got lucky and catches him with a fluke punch.  I don't want to get into all the reasons why I think that, because they ended up being all wrong when Jackson smashed Liddell within 2 mins of the fight making Chuck look a school girl.  It was pretty brutal, but I really didn't give a shit that I lost the bet to tell you the truth.  I was having a good time and I've had way worse bad beats at the poker table to make this loss sting.  When I think back to the WPT with 50 players left and I get it all in with Aces to get them cracked by A,Q when winning that hand would of put me top 10 in chips and having a real chance to win over a million dollars..  now thats something to cry about!  I bet sports for entertainment only, yeah its nice when you win, but if you get all depressed and stressed out when you lose...good luck, cuz you'll be a wreck all the time.  If you're a person who can bet within your means and have fun with it, then go for it, have fun... But if you're one of those degenerate fucks who gets addicted and does it soley to make money, then I recommend you never bet on a sporting event for the rest of your lives.

Getting back to the party, after the fight was all said and done, Richard and Mike had an idea to put me and Two on the air and talk about our loss.  Me and Two looked at each other and laughed because we were both pretty drunk, we were drinking all day at a friends BBQ then drank all night during the fights, but we said to hell with it, lets do it! 

We went on the air and Mike interviewed us and we basically just babbled about our loss and the reasons why we bet and stuff.  Also on the air with us was a guy named Gabriel Morency, my brother told me before we went on that this guy is apparently some fucking legend in Montreal, if you just mention his name down there everyone knows who he is.. luckily we were drunk and no nerves kicked in.  The interview went pretty good and it was pretty fun to do.

The cool thing about satellite radio and the Hardcore Sports Radio station is that you can say what ever the hell you want on air!  You should hear these guys on air, its hilarious.. "Fuck this and fuck that" and talking about Sports GAMBLING, no bullshit, I'm serious.  These guys actually sit around on the air and talk about betting on sports, lines, odds, how much they win or lose and everything to do with gambling.  I think its absolutely awesome, you know why?.. Because I'm sick and tired ofwhen the word 'gambling' gets brought up around some people and they look at you like you have a fucking disease.. I'm serious, probably one the hardest things I've had to overcome playing poker for a living is seeing certain people classifying me as some sick degernate junkie who gambles my life away.. And they categorize me like a drug dealer or something just because I don't work a 9-5 job.  It makes me absolutely sick, I really believe half these people are so unhappy with their own lives... working a shit 9-5 job making no money that they have to judge someone like me to make them feel good about themselves.  So I finally came to a point where I just said screw what certain people think, I'm doing something I love to do, I'm good at it, I make a shit load of money doing it.... so I'm gonna do it!! 
Wow, sorry for getting a little off topic there and ranting, but its the truth and I have to deal with that kind of stuff everyday and thats why I love this radio station so much.  They talk about all this stuff on the radio! 

For example, my brother and Mike Gentile run a show called "Refried".. its a really awesome show.  They talk about everything that happened previously in the week involving sports, betting and anything.  Its pretty hilarious... and although I never like giving my brother credit... he does a damn good job on the show.  Him and Gentile really gel good together and have good chemistry.  For those who want to listen, go to www.hardcoresportsradio.com. They have a 'Listen Now' section at the top that lets you listen to the station for free (but remember, its not censored, so listen at your own risk!). Or if you have satellite radio its channel 186.  There's another good show on the station I've been listening to also called 'Drive This', its hosted by Richard, some chick I didn't meet and this real character named Cam, I met this guy for like 5 minutes and holy shit this guy is off the wall, it was comedy.

I just went back and re-read my blog as I always do before posting and I realized I swore much more then I ever do in any of my blogs.  I completely blame this on listening to my brother's show and sirius satellite radio.. Sorry Mom!!... lol
