Hung Over

Hey Guys,

Sunday afternoon is usually a great time to play but I'm just way too hungover right now that even typing this is starting to give me a headache.  We had Two's going away party last night,  for those who don't know he's moving back to the States to finish up some schooling.  Needless to say the whole night got completely out of hand, much of it was a blur but it was still a great night.

Group shot in our condo.

As for poker I had a pretty average week.  I've bee playing some 1/2NL and right off the back took some sick bad beats.  I don't know what the hell it is with this limit, but I run awful when I play it.  Aside from the bad beats I still managed to book a couple good winning sessions.  I found at 1/2NL($200NL) there are a lot more fish then at 0.5/1NL ($100), which is kind of weird.  I think it has a lot to do with live players who may play 1/2NL at the casino come to online and feel they can jump right in.  People don't realize that playing 1/2NL live compared to online is two completely different games.  When I'm multi-tabling online right now, there are times where I might have $1000-$1500 spread out amongst all my tables getting in like 50-60 hands an hour per table.  When playing live you might get in 20-25 hands an hour and your only playing one table with a max $200 buy-in.  So anyways a lot of live players who try to jump right into mid-limit stakes online usually have a rude awakening.

Alright, right now I feel like I'm going to puke just focusing on this screen so I'll go through my poker tracker and post some hands and hopefully I'll be able to blog more this week.  Remember in the hands posted below I'm player "Hero".

1) 4 -Way All-in.
^ For some weird reason the website shows the short stack winning the whole pot which isn't the case, I win the pot because he had like $12 in front of him.  Not sure why the site doesn't read this hand properly, anyways it was a nice pot for me.

2) Flopping the Nuts
^ Now this guy is a beauty.  I marked him as a fish and tried to play as many hands as I could against him.  I think I have a couple more with him I'll post.

3) Slow-Play No Pay
^  This hand I made a standard continuation bet on the flop looking to take it down and got called.  Was planning to just check-fold on the turn, but the turn really opened up my hand.  I thought this guy might be floating me light on the flop so I figured if I second barreled here there's a good chance he will fold and if I get called I still have outs.  Now looking at the hand again if I did get raised on the turn I would of been in a pretty tricky spot, so maybe betting wasn't the best option.  Anyways, I get a beautiful river and stacked the guy.

4) Nuts
^ Here's another hand vs. our good friend Mr. Fish.  Note that I would never play this hand like this against 95% of my other opponents.  Cold calling a cut off raiser from the Small Blind with 6,7 isn't a profitable play, its usually only 3-bet (re-raise) or fold.  But against this guy I know I get a lot more chips because he's just that bad and doesn't like to fold if I happen to make a hand.  Anyways, I love his call on the river

5) Nice River
^ Now this is another hand against the same guy.  When ever he starts to tilt he just starts shoving all-in.  Like the other hand I would never call here against anybody else, but against this guy I knew is was the nuts.. unfortunately the poker gods like to reward guy's tilting sometimes.

Time for sleep.

Later

Sorry I missed the party. I planned to attend, but my plans got all screwed. Good to hear most of the night was a blur.
