Playing good, sit n go challenge, etc..
Things have continued to go really well this month. I'm playing my 'A' game a large majority of the time and the cards are cooperating. It feels good to start the year on a hot streak, gives me additional motivation to have a big year. Even though I'm winning, I'm still working on my game every day and fixing some of my weaknesses.
The other day I was surfing through the tables and found a huge marked fish sitting at a heads-up table with a stack. 9 out of 10 times I sit with a fish like that they never play, they either know I'm a good player or just back down when someone sits to play them. But this guy started to play me which was nice. I had notes on him so I was pretty aware of how he plays. He only has two moves, bet full pot or check/fold... and he loves to bluff. Playing against a guy like this is fun but can be a little stressful at the same time. You have to be willing to call down with mediocre hands for big bets on all streets. We ended up playing each other for about 2 hours till I was finally able to break him. Every time I had him almost down and out he would go on a little run and build his stack back up. Luckily he didn't quit me and I was able to grind him down to nothing. I'll post some hands below.
I've also had some motivation to play heads-up sit and goes. I was on a website that tracks players sit and go results and seached my name to find me sigficantly stuck. It happened like 3-4 years ago when I was on a huge downstreak and had zero bankroll management skills. I remember losing a shit load in tournaments and started to play $200-$500 sit and go's looking to get unstuck. That obviously didn't go as planned and I ended up losing like $3700. So anyway, I made it a goal this year that when I have free time and don't feel like playing cash games, I'll play heads-up pot limit omaha sit and go's and try to bring that number back to zero. I'm currently just playing $30 buy-ins and I'm doing this more for the challenge than the money, that's why I'm not playing higher.
Here's the graph below, as you can see I started this challenge at my lowest point of $-3700, I've been able to squeek back some profit, but I have a long way to go to get even.

Ok let's get into some hands from that heads-up session I was talking about... Oh and by the way this is a normal No limit heads-up match, not a capped game.
