Closer

Yesterday I had a marathon session because the games were so soft...  Every time I was about to quit more fish would sit not letting me get up.  I got extremely stuck off the get go and pretty much took the whole session to get even.  A funny part was when I got chirped by a regular when we started playing heads-up.  He's a decent player and I've never spoken with him before, but I made him value town himself in one hand and he lost it.  Here's the chat:

Regular: You're such a fish hu
Me: Thanks
Regular: hhow the hell do you call me on the turn with bottom pair, &%!# ur bad
Me: Don't worry, I'll do worse.
Regular: You"rr solid at 6max, but fish at hu
Me: Well we can play 4 tables of 2/4 hu on regular tables if you want

.....

He didn't reply and ignored me, most guys have a big mouth till you challenge to play them heads-up, then they usually pipe down pretty quick.  I just thought it was pretty funny because this was 5 minutes into our match and he got so spun.  Hopefully he'll play me in the future.

After about 10 hours of playing I was about to quit when Chantro asked me if I wanted to play the Super Turbo tourney we always play... usually I'm game, but I was so tired I didn't feel like it.  But I took a shower which woke me up and I decided to play.  I won my first coinflip early on and pretty much cruised from there.  I made one mistake in the middle stages where I was in the small blind with K,10 and it was folded to me, I should of just put the big blind all-in, instead I made a small raise, the flop came Q,J,4 and we got it in me losing to his Q,10.  I was still alive and was able to build a stack going into the final table.  I ended up playing a big pot which ended up knocking me out in 6th.  The pot I lost has been bugging me since last night b/c I think I might of fucked it up.  It was a sticky spot with weird chip sizes and I honestly don't know if I played the hand like a fish or not.

Here's the pot:

The guy who limped in the cut off was pretty fishy.  And remember this is a super turbo tournament starting with only 300 in chips, with basically no post-flop play.. just shove preflop.  I completed from the small blind hoping to hit a flop like I got, I lead out because I didn't want it to be checked around and get a shitty free card on the turn.  Now when 'tornado2' calls my flop bet I wasn't too sure what his range was.  If he had a flush/straight draw I'd expect him to shove on the flop, but wasn't too sure.  Now on the turn is where I didn't really know  what my best option was with out stack sizes.  My only options were to check/call a shove, or check/fold... and I really hated the check/fold option.  He could have a hand like 10,J, Q,J, KJ,77,66,99 etc.  Obviously the turn is horrible for my hand because it completes all draws, but I really didn't think I could check/fold in this spot being short stacked.  If I was deep stacked in a normal tournament, I would have no problem check/folding, but this being a Super Turbo tourney I think I just had to go with the hand and hope he didn't make his draw on the turn, and even if he did I would still have some equity to fill up.

Anyways I'm really not too sure because I don't play tournaments much any more, maybe I'll post this hand in a tournament forum to get some feedback and see if I played it like a complete fish.

I did end of finishing 6th which was nice and paid about 2k, but I REALLY want to think this thing so I'll probably keep plugging at it and hopefully I can pull one out of my ass.

Ok I have to go outside and enjoy this nice weather instead of sitting on my laptop.
