Back to life, back to reality
What's up everyone..
I'm back from Vacation and ready to get back to work. The trip was absolutely amazing. All I did for an entire week was chill by the pool/beach.. ate tons of amazing food.. and drank. I didn't think about poker or the real world whatsoever. It was a perfect mental recharge that I kinda needed. I'm not saying I have the most stressful life in the world, but grinding can get tiresome after a while.
Anyways I'm back and ready to play a ton and take my game to the next level. I was actually suppose to go to Vegas on Sunday with my brother and possibly meet up with Two, but I got some gay news and found out the owner of my condo is selling, so we've gotta move. It was completely out of the blue and we weren't planning on moving for a while, but not much we can do. So I'm gonna stick around here and look for a new place to live instead of going to Vegas.... blah
I've played a few sessions since I've been back and they've gone pretty good. I decided I'm going to take the jump up to 5/10 when the games are good and see how I do. I'm definitely rolled to play 5/10, but the swings can be very big. Win or losing $3000-$4000 in one day in this limit is fairly common. I played a session there today and it went pretty well.. I only won a few buyins, but it was nice to be rededicated and focused more on the games. The last month or so I found myself slacking off a bit and slipping into cruise control. When I'm playing 2/4 and 3/6 I know the players so well that a lot of my hands are pretty standard. The regulars aren't that great and the fish just give away money. But at 5/10 the games are much tougher. A lot of the regulars have been crushing the limit for quite some time and there isn't as many soft spots when it comes to fish. So you're forced to play tables with 4 or 5 regs and 1 fish, instead of half and half. In today's session I concentrated on playing good poker and took a lot of notes on the other players. I still made a couple mistakes I wish I didn't have, but overall I did ok.
I'll sign off with a couple pics from my vacation....
