I meant to have blogged over the last few days, but something was wrong godaddy.com and I couldn't log into my account to write anything.  Anyways, I've still been really busy looking for a new place to live.  We actually found a nice a couple days ago.. we put in an offer tomorrow so hopefully I run good one time and get the place.

I've still been playing a bunch, unfortunately with mixed results.  On Friday I had my biggest losing day of the year when it comes to actual dollars, not buy-ins.  The reason is because I lost most of it at 5/10 where I got pumped,  in reality it was probably just a normal day at that limit, but I'm still not completely used to it.  I'm not worried though, it comes with the territory of moving up in limits.  It usually takes about a month till I'm 100% comfortable with the new swing amounts.  Obviously it helps when your bankroll grows in the process, but I've yet to go on a heater at 5/10 yet, I can feel it coming soon though.

Thats pretty much all thats been going on, oh yeah, UFC 100 was on last Saturday, and to be honest I thought it was pretty good.  Everyone keeps saying 'well GSP just does what he does', but this time was wayyy different, because Thiago Alves is a monster.  He's much better than any opponent GSP has ever fought, and he still dominated for 5 rounds.  He should become a poker player, because I've never seen anyone execute a game plan like he does.

As for the Bisping fight,  I always said he was overrated.  He probably shouldn't talked so much shit going into the fight.  And for the late punch from Henderson, that was a real tricky spot.  If in his post-fight interview he just would of said that he didn't realize he was out and was trying to finish him off, that would of been fine.  But as soon as he said that he knew he was out and the extra punch was to shut him up or whatever, that was fucking stupid.  I think he should be fined or suspended, hitting someone that hard when they are unconscious can kill the person. www.sherdog.net/forums/f7/shoop-bisping-1010762/

Onto
the Brock/Mir fight, going into this fight I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out.  Every scenario made sense, so when Brock went in and did what he did, I wasn't too surprised.  As for his post fight antics, I have mixed feelings about it.  To be honest I have no problem with him going into Frank's face after the fight and talked shit.  Because one of my biggest pet peeves in MMA, is when two fighters HATE each other for months before the fight, then when the fight is over, they kiss and make up.  I'm not stupid, I know all the pre trash talk is to hype up the fight and its sportsmanlike to huge and make up after a fight.... but fuck that.  And thats what Brock was thinking, Mir talked so much shit leading into the fight, so he kicked his ass and told him to fuck off after wards. But when Brock started freaking out to the crowd and giving them the finger, thats his WWE mind set creeping in.  You gotta remember that in the WWE when you play the bad guy, you tried to get booed, and when the crowd does that, you feed off it and make them hate you more.  I  understand the UFC isn't the WWE, but when you put an animal like Brock in a similar setting, you have to expect stuff like that.

Sorry for all the non-poker talk, I figured because it was UFC 100, I'd give my thoughts and opinions.

Time to get back to the grind...

Jay

Henderson's actions also really hurt other places trying to get sanctioned to host UFC or other MMA bouts. It doesn't help the cause, that's for sure.
