What's up everyone,

I have no excuses for not blogging more, just been lazy.  I've been playing a ton and usually pretty exhausted and don't feel like writing.  This is a time I should be blogging though because I went on a serious heater last week.  I forget what day it was, but I had my biggest winning day of the year, probably one of my biggest winning days ever when it comes to cash games.

The days previous to that (I think I may even blogged about it), I was losing a high % of flips, it was actually pretty gross, I couldn't win anything.  But I knew in my head when it evened out and I was going to kill it.  So I was playing my session that day and things were going fairly mediocre, I was even for about an hour or two.  At all my tables there was this super aggro player I've never played with before.  He was 3 and 4 betting relentlessly and wouldn't fold a hand.  I didn't really tangle with him much at that point because I wasn't getting too many hands to open.  At that point all the games were starting to break, usually when thats the case I'll sit there and play till the table clears out, because not many people at this limit will sit and play me heads-up.  But this maniac decides he wants to take a shot at me.  So we end up playing 6 tables of 3/6 heads-up cap.  I knew in my head that this could be a very swingy match by the way he plays, and I would have to run decent cuz he was going to try and run over.

We start playing and he continues to keep up his aggression.  He was 3 betting me preflop 95-98% of the time, it was pretty nuts.  He was definitely the most aggressive player I've ever faced.  So because he was 3 betting any two cards, I obviously had to widen my 4 bet range and start capping hands like Ax, Kx.  Fortunately for me, this is the time I started my heater and my coin flips evened out.  I started smashing this guy, no matter what he had, I had something better, or if we flipped and I would win.  We played for about and hour and a half before I had to quit because people were coming to look at my condo.  I was super spun about that because I would of played this guy all night and to his credit I couldn't believe he didn't quit me earlier.  This guy could of been looking at my hole cards and I probably would of still beaten him the way I was running.

After the people left,  I sat back down but the tables filled up so I couldn't play him heads-up anymore.  It didn't really matter though because my heater continued and I won hand after hand.  It felt a little surreal while I was playing, because every time I got it all in, I just knew I was going to win.  Even the odd time where I got it in dominated with like AQ vs AK, I just knew a Queen was coming.  And it always did.  Man if poker was like this all the time it'd be a very easy game!

The next few days I continued to run good and pulled off some big wins.  I don't feel like I'm playing much better than usual, but just like I mentioned I'm running really good.  And when you're running really good and winning, everything else falls into place.  Reads are spot on, making calculated bluffs work, and coolering people a lot.

Today was actually the first day I've lost in a while, I knew it was coming so I wasn't too upset about it,  Just going to keep plugging away and hope to have a really big month.

I'll let you know how the battle goes...

Jay
