Ok my bad, I know I should blog more but I do get busy and lazy at times. The last few days have been pretty hectic... the other day me and my brother were driving to Guelph for a funeral visitation of a great uncle who passed away. We were driving on the 401, then bam, we get smashed from behind by a drunk driver. I was able to keep control of the car and pull over, I was driving a rental and the back end was fucked. When I got out of the car the guy barely said a word and just stayed in his car, so I ended up calling the cops, did the entire process and left. We ended up going to the hospital just to be safe and were stuck there for about 4-5 hours. All and all it was a real shitty long night, it was my first serious car accident and hopefully I don't have to deal with that again.
I've been shooting on and off the last few days, but not as much as usual. I have a cousin visiting from Italy which it taking up a bit of time, and I'm also working on a home video project which as also been time consuming.
On the weekend my cousin hosted a Poker/Golf tournament day which was a great time. The weather was kinda gross for golfing, but we managed to squeak in 18 holes. The poker was fun but I was more interested in watching UFC 101 that night. Actually I did something funny during one of the sit and goes... I misread my hand! I honestly haven't done that in like 5 years, I thought I had Ah,6h when I had Ah,6d... on the river I thought I made the nut flush, and 3 bet shoved on my cousin who had two pair.. She called and I said nut flush, only to flip over cock soup. Its funny because I play 12 tables at a time online and never misread my hand, but I can't read 1 hand live.. I'll blame being focused on the UFC.
I think I'm heading to a buddy's cottage this weekend so I obviously won't be playing much poker, next week I really need to get refocused and get back into the swing of things. I also haven't been able to play any more FTOPS events because I'm still on the hunt to buy a place which is also taking up more time. When things settle down I'll be looking to finish off the month strong.
