KO

I was kinda delaying writing this blog hoping I could write one saying how I went on a sick heater and things are starting to turn, unfortunately I can't.  Things have still been a little shaky, I'm playing better than I most of August, but still getting mediocure results.  I'm putting extra focus on putting in high volume, and not worrying about short term results.  At the end of every session I grade myself on how I played whether I'm up or down.  Happily my 'A' game has been present for the most part.

Me and Julie are leaving this Friday to visit Two and his girlfriend in Portland.  I'll be gone for about 4 days so it will give me a chance to get away from playing online and enjoy some live poker.  Me and Two are going to be playing in a 1k No Limit Holdem event at a casino by his place.  I'm looking forward to it b/c its been quite a while since I played a live tournament.  I should probably play a couple online before I go to get my head in tournament mode, or maybe I'll just watch a MTT training vid.

Last Saturday was UFC 102 and I had to miss it because I had plans I couldn't break.  I downloaded it the next day and overall I thought it was ok.  To be honest I wasn't looking forward to this card at all, the only fight I was excited for was Maia vs Marquardt which ended up being a quick fight.  I really didn't give a shit about the Couture/Nog fight because I truly believe both their careers are over.  I know it ended up being a decent fight and Nog suppobly looked good, but I'm still not convinced.  The fight looked good because they were both slow and sluggish and but Nog was just better than a 46 year old.  I dunno, I know a lot of people think Nog is back, but I think he gets smoked by any top 10 contender... and Randy should just retire because he's done.  God imagine he fought that way vs Fedor, he probably would of died.

Good night Maia.. I know Nate is pretty sick, but I really wanted to see him pull off another sick sub.  But I did think it was pretty classy for Nate not to hit him again while he was on the ground.

The next few days I'm going to play a bunch before I leave... I'll keep ya posted.
