Happy Holidays!

Hey Guys,

Well its pretty obvious that I haven't blogged in a while, mainly because I've been going through a pretty tough time in poker these last few months.  This downswing has been worse than I ever thought possible.  Blogging wasn't really the number one thing on my priority list.  Luckily for me, Christmas is here and which is good time to take a break from the tables and not worry about poker.  Throughout this entire downswing I've done a lot of the things most people do during these times, ie. move down in limits, study more, play less tables etc etc.  But the only thing I haven't done is take a break.  I felt like every minute I wasn't playing or studying  I was wasting time.  I became a bit of a workaholic.  I would shoot for 6 hours, study for 2, then go to bed thinking of every hand I played.  Although I think being a little obsessive in your work can be a good thing, right now its probably for the worse.  Like all the students taking a break from exams over the holidays, I need to do the same and come back in 2010 ready to have the best year of my life.

Although these last few months have been horrible, I still managed to have a great 2009.  Not only did I have huge results, I really grown as a poker player.  And when I dig my way out of this downswing, I know I will a better player because of it.

Life has been great otherwise, me and Julie bought ourselves our first home which is finally coming together.  And I'm really looking forward to have a fun relaxing Christmas with friends and family.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and I want to thank all you readers who continue to read my blog day in and day out.  I know I haven't been the most consistent blogger, but I do really appreciate you guys who stay interested.

At the risk of sounding corny, I'm going to end this blog with a quote from one of my favorite movies Blow.

"Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on."
